Thank you for stopping by to check out the 2009 Wild Hog Canoe & Kayak Race's 32nd year on April 25, 2009 with alternate date of May 2.
The Wild Hog Canoe & Kayak Race is hosted by AMVETS Post 88 in Bronson, Florida. We welcome anyone who would like to try their luck at paddling down the Waccasassa River over obstacles big and small for a chance to win some really nice prizes. Prizes will be drawn throughout the race at the finish line on U.S. 19, where the party starts with great food and music.
We hope to see some new faces this year and to visit with racers from past years. We are going to make this an even better event than our 31st, although that will be tough to beat!
Be sure to stop by now and then to check out the progress of this website as we move into 2009 for the Wild Hog Canoe & Kayak event. We are working on your suggestions from the 2008 race and have already made some changes and improvements.

New Supreme Court Ruling - Please Read
We will not be accepting any racer under the age of 18 in the race this year due to the recent court ruling that parents cannot waive liability on behalf of their children by signing releases of liability in sporting events. Please see "Brochure," Registration Form for full text.
